Some sketchbook pages

Some selections from the sketchbook I’m two pages from finishing. This is what it looks like when work is not going well and hasn’t been going well for 6 years. I don’t call it writers block because I sit and work everyday and this is what comes out, it just isn’t what I am hoping for. It has been highly distressing all 6 years, the hardest years of my life. Pre world-wide disease, it’s actually been going slightly better since the rest of the world caught up to where I was at.

She had it all worked out who was what and who had what colour light sabre. Also my nephew had mooned me several times in the year, an offense for which I demanded his grounding, and I immortalized that here.

Pedals from Scratch

I’ve made a few pedals from scratch now and I was surprised to notice I’d never felt prouder of my work than when hearing my guitar going through a signal chain I made into an amp I made. Having a hand in every element that causes the sound has been really exciting. I started a couple years ago just trying to identify what was a resistor and what was a capacitor - to making pedal kits - to making boards from scratch - next maybe design my own circuit! But maybe not, there seems to be an endless supply of clever and interesting guitar effects
