Done a few pages now exclusively in Krita, this is how I ended up setting up the workspace. I like that you can paint a thumbnail for a brush preset in the brush tool, so I did that for all the ones I made.

Krita Test V
More Krita testing, I think I've made all the brushes I need and got the workspace and hotkeys how I like them. It's taken a lot of time but so far it has been totally worth it. Some of the tools, like the line tool, are approximately 999,999,999 times better than in the version of Photoshop I was using. No unwanted edge scroll, preview of the line about to be drawn, snap to multiple angles, that's just three of 999,999,999.

Krita Brush Making and Testing
More Krita brush making and testing. Amazon sent a message saying I could set up my books on kindle so they can be downloaded as PDFs or ePubs, so I did that. Think they said it will be an option some time mid January, for all current owners and future buyers.

Switching to Krita
I'll be switching to Krita sooner than I thought. My dutiful Intuos 4 finally started occasionally disconnecting so I got a new tablet and Photoshop decided to occasionally ignore pressure sensitivity. I'm using an old version of Photoshop, but I am always tickled when I look up solutions and it is still a problem for all tablets in the current paid subscription version.
Krita however has been perfect thus far so I've been setting up the workspace and testing every brush that comes with it before making my own- remaking some of my old photoshop ones with the increased functionality that Krita offers. I also like that the .kra file format can be opened with 7zip and you can just take out the uncompressed png inside.

Christmas Presents 2025
I got a bunch of little frames and did mini water colour paintings for everyone in my family. I had a few frames left over so for me for Christmas I painted this little version of a Francis Bacon triptych. I gave away all the preliminary paintings and drawings to the baristas at the Starbucks I made them at.

The Soul Sucker
Working on backgrounds for Chapter 2. The guy Fiona is interviewing at the end of Chapter 1 is going in this thing which I based on some giant piece of equipment in Russia made to detect subatomic particles. Fiona's goal is to suck out the believing core of this person to use it to fuel the Gate entry of another subject.

Krita testing
Went straight into working on chapter 2, but every once in a while I've been messing around in Krita. This is part of my long term anticipation of giving up of photoshop and moving everything to Linux. I really like Krita so far and might be tempted to do a whole chapter in it instead of photoshop.
