Christopher Robin is Dead

I found a child's drawing of winnie the poo that had one really long arm and I always made my friend laugh with my interpretation of what sort of voice would come out of this animal. I am pretty sure this drawing would make him laugh too. Sometimes I like to explain why something is funny because I think that is funny, and this is funny because it takes a light hearted children's character and drags it into the utter depths of grief where it of course does not belong. But it also gets at the heart of something I find irritating about light hearted things in how they try to avoid the inevitable difficulties of life or cover up what is hard or inconvenient. So this is just taking it to a hyperbolic extreme to illustrate that idea.
